I paint for the pure pleasure of interpreting the world that surrounds me at home and in my travels. My art is a collection of oils, pastels and acrylics in bold, crisp colors that lend warmth to my sometimes whimsical themes. I wish to paint optimism in my work using paints, pastels, paper and canvas to transcend the human condition, portraying the expansiveness of nature. People should be able to look at my art and enjoy it for its own sake. It should be pleasing to both eye and spirit, without making a political or social statement.
